Karim Kaissi
CEO | Board Director
Karim Kaissi has been named QuikMedic’s first full-time Chief Executive Officer, effective September 5th, 2023.
He has over 18 years of senior executive leadership in the healthcare industry in both the private and public sectors, as well as for-profit and nonprofit environments. Karim has a track record of leading teams in established regional organizations as well as operating in a start-up environment and launching multiple new markets from the ground up. He is passionate about transforming and scaling healthcare one patient relationship at a time, and his mission is grounded in serving those who are vulnerable, frail and need our care the most.
Karim comes to QuikMedic most recently from Intermountain Health, where he served as President of the Provider Group across Nevada and Southern Utah – a ~$3B region comprised of 6,500 caregivers, 130 clinics and urgent care sites, multiple hospitals/ASCs, as well as homecare and hospice care. Prior to Intermountain, he was the Region President of Care More and Aspire Health (subsidiaries of Anthem Inc – now called Elevance Health, a Fortune 30 company), where he successfully led a region of 30 states serving Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial patients in true value-based arrangements. Before Anthem, he spent 12 years with Texas Health Resources in operations, strategy and business development roles and ran ACO/Population Health functions across the health system and the medical enterprise.
As an active Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, he regularly participates in local chapters, speaking engagements, and prioritizes mentoring of early careerists.
In his spare time, Karim enjoys running, off-roading, and exploring the outdoors with his wife and two children.
“QuikMedic was formed last year to help bring credible EMS/emergency triaging experience in partnership with (and under medical direction of) likeminded anchor groups who take on clinical and financial responsibility for patient populations. A tested model with a commitment to meet patients where they are, and when they need us the most.”
“I’m truly humbled and excited to be leading QuikMedic in its next phase of growth and maturity, leveraging community paramedics as a catalyst workforce which has historically been under-appreciated and underutilized at the frontlines of our healthcare community. Let’s get to work!”
